Memory Monday (Christmas Ball 2011)

Today's Memory Monday is not going so far back in history as it took place just under six months ago. It is noteworthy however because it was the largest Royal event held since before the 96 Revolution. For shear size, I thought it right to report on this event now, seeing as we have been on a "grandiose" vibe since the attack in Swann tried to dampen all our enthusiasm for Royalty. We are also looking forward to reporting on the wedding of Queen Gloria in Normandia this week. It promises to be an event, albeit not large in scale, great for style and fashion on a grand scale.

The Royal Christmas Ball of 2011 was hosted by the Baron D'Rothchild in the City of Pariseum, Franconia. Every Year the Ball falls to a particular family to host and the D'Rothchilds did a sterling job. Although in the eyes of Franconia it was a private family party, in the eyes of the Royal and Noble families present, it was a full state function requiring Tiaras and Knighthood regalia.

The Baron D'Rothchild arrives next to his wife and precedes his mother Princess Ann-Marie the Dowager Baroness D'Rothchild. They arrived first in order to make sure everything is ready and to greet all their guests.

From left, The Duchess of Lancaster, The Arch Duke Otto von Fulco D'Este, Lady Ferrox, the Countess Dysart and Madame Francine D'Bacquemme.

Wearing the spectacular family amethyst parure, the Marchioness of Londonderry.

Baroness Klariowna makes a rare appearance. At an event of this scale ones knowledge of  genealogy, titles and who owns what jewellery gets tested to the max. See if you can recognize some jewellery and people from former posts.

This was the last major appearance of the Von Bismarcks as Counts. They are now as we know, the Royal Family of Syldavia.

The pretender to the Ruskian Imperial Throne, The Grand Duchess Xenia. To her left Prince Felix Youssopoff and his wife Princess Kirtsen.

Lady Arcwhite attempts to outshine the competition, with dazzling diamonds and matching ice white dress.

Queen Gloria precedes her fiance, Count Reggius Szanguscko, his sister in white, Countess Mercedes, his brother, Count Franz and the Duchess of Roswind.

Queen Maria of Hispania with her sister Infanta Isabella and Don Miguel.

The Princess of Wallachia precedes her husband the Baron Bagrazia.

The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Hanoveria.

Princess Beatrice, the Dowager Grand Duchess of Hanoveria.

From left, Prince Dillon, the Hereditary Duke of Swann, the Duke of Swann and Princess Marie-Elizabeth.

Princess Augusta of Scot-Britania.

The Empress Crystobel I of Scot-Britania

The arrival of the Crown Prince Imperial Couple.

The Crown Prince Imperial, Prince Christian Victor and the Crown Princess Imperial, Princess Odeliah.

The full assembly of  49 guests.

    1. Thank you. It really is my pleasure to do this blog and to make the jewellery and take the photos. It is hard work as well. Dressing a doll to the level in this post can take up to 10minutes. Times that by 50 dolls and setting up the scenery, add the photo session and pack-up and you have a 10 hours exercise on your hands. I wish I had more time for it. But wait, there is still lots more to come.
